Book Recommendation – You Call the Shots
I just finished reading You Call the Shots, Succeed Your Way – and Live the Life You Want- with the 19 Essential Secrets of Entrepreneurship.
It was written by one the youngest successful entrepreneurs in the world, Cameron Johnson. What I like about Cameron is that he’s very down to earth, humble, and practical. Most of his success is a result of common sense, a great attitude, and his genuine passion for business.
It was a fun, easy read, and provided a ton of inspiration. If this little whippersnapper can start a dozen successful companies as a teenager, then what’s stopping you from higher levels of success?
Most of his companies were internet based, which I found particularly fascinating. Even if you’ve been starting businesses for two or thee times as many years as Cameron you still have something to learn from this guy.
His ideas are in sync with the principles I coach my clients to follow. I highly recommend his book which you can purchase from Cameron’s web page.
Another reason I like Cameron is because he had this to say about coaching:
“I think everyone needs a coach. Investing in yourself and your knowledge is the best investment of all. It’s something no one can take away from you. That’s why I invest tens of thousands of dollars every year in my own advancement in areas of business, marekting, advertising, networking, etc.”
